Christine R. Peña - Spiritual Counselor & Sex Educator
Christine’s twin passions in life have always been spirituality and sexuality. She nurtures a deep understanding that the two are not mutually exclusive; they are two sides of the same coin.
Christine has been a spiritual counselor for the past fifteen years licensed through the Agape International Spiritual Center in Culver City, California. At Agape she worked on staff for three years in the One From The Heart Pastoral Care ministry meeting the spiritual needs of the congregation and mentoring interns on the practitioner path. When she worked at Agape her nickname became “Jalapeña” because as Rev. Michael Beckwith said, “She’s HOT for God!” Currently she is a Rev. On The Path in ministerial school at the University of Transformational Studies & Leadership.
Christine is also a certified sex educator whose curiosity led her to volunteer for the non-profit Los Angeles Sex Information Helpline through the Los Angeles Free Clinic (now called the Saban Free Clinic) providing information and referrals to the community.
She is currently a member of the Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality and the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists, as well as being a California state certified rape crisis advocate. A project that brought her joy was when she was asked to work with women in prison teaching forgiveness workshops, being of the conviction that forgiveness is our key to personal freedom and self-empowerment.
Christine is a writer, dynamic speaker, workshop leader and has a private practice as a spiritual counselor in Los Angeles, California. Contact her HERE!
